Originally named the National Community Safety Network (NCSN) the ICS was created in 1995 and gathered over 500 members and organisations in both the statutory and voluntary sectors in the UK. It was incorporated in 2002.
It is a practitioner-led organisation supporting those involved in promoting community safety and crime reduction throughout the United Kingdom.
In 2015 the NCSN evolved to become the ICS.
We now offer safe socially distanced training (see our training pages)
With a board of directors made up of experienced community safety practitioners, and members from a wide range of organisations involved in crime reduction and community safety, the ICS is best placed to put you in touch with like-minded individuals and provide the necessary tools to support you in your role
